ABOUT THE ARTIST

CHLOE PANG

Acclaimed by International Piano Magazine for her historic recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations at the age of twelve, pianist-turned-artist Chloe Pang made her televised Carnegie Hall PBS debut at age fifteen, toured Russia, Finland, and the Baltic nations, appeared as a guest on “Late Show with David Letterman”, and was named a Top 30 Under 30 artist by KDFC San Francisco. She previously ran the Family Studio Workshops at Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles and has photographed for The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Los Angeles Times. Chloe studied at The Juilliard School and graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Art History. Primarily known as a one-woman production force, her work varies from creative direction, film, and photography to design and the literary arts. She is based in Los Angeles, California.

Pang founded The New News (thenewnews.live), a massive documentary project and the first solely visual news platform. Shot explicitly on the Apple iPhone, spanning approximately 30,000 miles walked, she has photographed daily public life since January 1st, 2020 across Los Angeles, New York, The Bay Area and beyond — currently aiming to expand this work internationally and on commission. Additionally, Pang founded SOAK (@come_soak): a unique, interdisciplinary salon series conceived in 2009, with domestic and international public events launching in 2026.
